And the winner is . . .
Bear Star Press is very pleased to announce that Josh Booton
of Portland, Oregon, has won the 2013 Dorothy Brunsman
Poetry Prize for his manuscript, The Union of Geometry and
Ash. His book will be published in September 2013. Born and
raised in Portland, he is a graduate of the Michener Center for
Writers at The University of Texas at Austin, where he was
awarded the 2011 Keene Prize in Literature. His poems have
appeared in The Missouri Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Poetry
Northwest, Iron Horse Literary Review, Raleigh Review and elsewhere.
He works as a speech therapist in an adult rehab hospital.
